The Posy Post started because Brooke (our founder and head ray of sunshine) loved driving to the Sydney Flower Markets before dawn, finding magic in beautiful blooms she’d gathered, and creating posies of love for her friends and family. She’d kindly deliver them on her way to work, knowing that she’d been able to brighten someone’s day.
We now deliver hundreds of bouquets and gifts around Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and the Central Coast. Frankly, it’s the best job in the world.
“Kindness is one of the most powerful things we can show the people around us. Kindness is one small way to make the world a better place, one act at a time. Spread a ‘lil sunshine, wherever you go.”

Our values
Kindness • Community • Sustainability
Kindness & community
Being kind to others always makes the world feel like a much better place. The act of simply being kind to another person, for no reason at all, can brighten both their day and yours.
You’ll often find us surprising strangers with beautiful flowers at random locations across Newcastle. It makes our hearts sing to know that we’re making someone’s day!
We’ve also created The Kindness Movement (formerly One More Smile).
The Posy Post donate flowers, gifts and beautiful message tags every week to a different local community group or organisation, so they can pay it forward to the most deserving people in their community.
We believe that the beautiful act of giving flowers and gifts can change the world and that kindness is what truly matters.
Sustainability
We are committed to navigating the complexities of our industry with a considered and conscious approach. Everything we do considers the people and the planet that we love.
We only purchase locally grown and Australia grown flowers for our posies.
While we do our best to source Australia Grown Orchids, sometimes they are imported, yet ethically sourced.
We also have fantastic relationships with our local growers which means we can request to have no plastic wrapping on flower bunches (which is a huge problem for the industry).
Reducing waste by requesting no plastic wrap from our wonderful growers
Saying no to noxious weeds, floral foam and chemically enhanced flowers
Composting all green waste
