MEET OUR TEAM!
Our tribe of day makers are the heartbeat of all that we do here at The Posy Post. We hit the road daily to deliver flowers to people in Maitland, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Central Coast. So we thought it was about time that you met some of our sunshine souls and deliver-ers!
Meet Lucy
1. Role - Day Making Chauffeur of Thoughtfulness (aka. delivery driver), hugger, bringer of posytive vibes (and rather loud laughs!)
2. Coffee order - Dirty Chai or Flat White on Coconut Milk
3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time?
Reading the card message to a lady who was blind with a very special message from her daughter...she cried...I cried...it was so special to share that moment when it was something far more than the beautiful flowers.
The kindness and thoughtfulness of people blows my mind with the messages our senders write.
The surprised faces of those who have ‘never received flowers before’...until now!
And I also remember one of my very first deliveries being to an older lady who seemed to think I was just door knocking ‘selling’ flowers! They were a gift from a friend to her, but she kept insisting on paying me for them!
Oh and guys that answer the door in just a towel are pretty memorable too!!! (Haha! Maybe leave that one out!?) HA sorry not sorry, Lucy!
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time?
Having a sunrise swim or catching the sunset over the lake, trying anything new/creative/a little bit crazy, being entertained/exhausted by my lil superstar Eddie (5) or running events/sessions with clients to talk ways to better be, love on and celebrate ourselves as women in this crazy beautiful life! Variety, ease and fun are my spices of life!

3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? - Every day at posy is a good day, but when we do food days, nibble platters or have extra long unnecessary photo shoots, they are my favourite.

3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? It’s got to be a tie between the guy who proposed in the delivery and the lady who had never received flowers before and cried and gave me a big hug!
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time? - Reading or going to the movies
5. Favourite flower - Pom pom!
Meet Lewy (aka Brooke’s tiny human)
1. Role - Bucket Boy
2. Coffee order - Babycinno. Pink marshmallow.
3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? Playing in buckets of water and helping the girls sweep leaves into the bin. Also eating flower petals.

3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time?
I delivered a posy to a gentleman from his partner who thought we had got it wrong as he had also sent a posy to his partner on the same day. Fortunately I had processed both orders and knew that they had sent one to each other!
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time?
Hanging out with my two gorgeous grandkids and looking after my dogs. I also follow The Jets.

4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time? Camping, binging on Netflix and eating out

So many! But a standout is when the lovely dad of a recipient gave me a jar of honey from his own bees. And overall the lovely warm and happy responses we get from recipients, it’s so rewarding! 🥰

I spend a lot of time with my family, especially my two hilarious nieces.

2. Coffee order - Half strength, medium, soy mocha. Love coffee but not the buzz too much of it brings!
3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time?
The first posy I ever delivered was to a couple who had just had a baby that morning! It was so beautiful seeing such a brand new bub and happy family.
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time?
Getting outdoors with my wonderful husband and beautiful son.

3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? That one time I got the Posy count right and Tim got it wrong. Best day ever.
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time? Working on my business, at the beach or travelling.
5. Favourite flower - Flannel flower and anything that has just come into season!
Meet Rachael
1. Role - Posy Maker

3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? Every time we unbox the flowers from Market.
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time? I have my own event business, Botanica Bird so I spend a lot of my time doing this. Otherwise I like to go out for coffee, beers and wineos with family and friends, garden and go to gigs.

Meet Tracey
1. Role - Posy deliveries and processing orders/delivery routes.
2. Coffee order- Good old D.I.Y at home coffee with 2 sugars and milk haha (...and a pot of tea every now and then never hurts either.)
3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? - It'll never get old seeing a recipient receive their posy with a look of surprise that eventually turns into a big smile or sometimes even happy tears. One posy moment that struck a chord with me and will stick with me forever was a delivery to a young lady who was ordering posies for herself every week or 2 over a few months and whilst I had never actually met her and only had a few friendly/polite interactions with her family, it had saddened me to find out that she had passed away. I later learned that she was battling cancer. Although a sad moment and even though I may have never met her, it's nice to think that a delivery of a simple posy may have brightened her darkest days and when I think of that brave young lady I am reminded life is precious and to seek joy even in the simplest things. Why I love delivering posies!
4. How I spend my time - With my Guy and our kiddies, usually our favourite thing to do is movie nights and family karaoke nights. (I may hog the microphone a little haha)

Meet Erin

3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? I always feel appreciative on Monday morning when I first get to work and am totally happy to be there. Posy is such a lovely place to work!
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time? I am a wife and mum of two girls so life is pretty busy, but I do love music and time with family and friends, yoga and running.

4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time? Daydreaming about the next travel adventure and enjoying anything out in nature
5. Favourite flower - I’m obsessed with Natives at the moment after traveling and living abroad for past 8 years. But all time fav would have to be Cymbidium Orchids.

1. Role - Delivery driver, Highly trusted and reliable posy counter ;)

3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? It was a one-off Saturday delivery day and I had a posy for a bride from a good friend who was sending her best wishes and apologies as she was unable to make the special occasion. As I was approaching the front door I could hear a party and the screams of scull, scull, scull!! I knocked and waited patiently for 10 secs before knocking again. I was greeted by the mother of the bride who then invited me in to pass the posy onto her daughter.. and that's when the tooting begun as they thought I was the stripper, only to be bitterly disappointed.
Along with this story there is the countless number of times I get asked "Do you come with the posy"
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time?
Beers and footy, Supercoaching, fishing, surfing and spending time with my beautiful wife Brooke and son Lewy!

Meet Pete
1. Role - Delivery driver

3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? My favourite part of delivering is the joy you see when senior people, living alone, realise that someone is thinking about them.
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time?
Outside of posy post deliveries I spend time volunteering to help on projects that engage with local people in remote Australian communities as well as the Pacific Islands. Books4Outback collects used books to rebirth in schools and pre-schools in the NSW outback. YWAM Newcastle provides medical outreach in the Milne Bay area of PNG. Major Projects Foundation aims to help to prevent pollution in Pacific Islands from oil leaks in sunken wrecks. Helping out with the land based support for a project installing communications infrastructure in remote aboriginal communities in the Kimberley region of West Australia.
As a new grandfather I expect to soon be spending a lot of time with my beautiful grand daughter Audrey.
5. Favourite flower - Hibiscus as well as the Tahitian Tiare Apetahi (a rare five petal flower that only grows on the sacred island of Raiatea.)
Meet Jess
1. Role - delivery driver

3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time? I’ve only done 3 days to date but my favourite things so far is the funny things people say on cards... “sorry for being a drunken idiot” or “bloody kids” for example. So relatable and brings some giggles to my day. Or the one moment I delivered to a school for a 6th birthday from a mother to her daughter. As a mother myself, it got me right in the heart.
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time? I spend the rest of my time being a mother/taxi driver/cleaner/chef etc to my 3 little humans (6,4 & 1) and my husband ... AND making tassels for my event hire business Fringe Folk.
5. Favourite flower - Sweet Pea- how they grow reminds me of the hoards of peas we grew in our veggie patch one season as kids.
Meet Brooke
1. TPP: Brooke, Da Boss, (haha! not sure if we can write that)
2. Coffee order: Orange mocha frappuccino! Not really just a boring latte, with a keep cup obvs ;)
3. Favourite posy delivery story or moment of all time?
One of the first deliveries we ever did, I was invited into the home of a lovely old lady who had lost her little doggo. She made me a cuppa, we sat on her front balcony and I learned all about the life of her sweet little puppy.
4. When you're not making people's day at The Posy Post, how do you spend your time? With the Lewy boy, spending time in nature, having a wine with friends and family and just livin' my best life haha.
5. Favourite flower: Gahhh such a hard question! It always changes, but at the mo I'd have to say a cymbidium orchid. Or any type of native really.
